Evan Almighty
We took some high school kids to see Evan Almighty yesterday. Pretty cool movie. I have to admit, I got teary eyed in a couple of spots. What can I say, I'm a worship leader.
The movie reminded me of a little place in So-Cal called the Institute for Creation Research. They have a to-scale model of the ark, among other cool things. I'm thinking that we should take the kids there for a field trip. Check it out and let me know what you think.
All in all, I think the movie was pretty good. A fairly accurate representation of the Ark, and an overall good message. What did you think?

What's your practice/rehearsal look like?
Ahhh... practice nights. We had a pretty killer one Thursday night. My favorite parts were the before and after.

I like to have routines so that everyone (including myself) knows what to expect. I like it even more when the routine is broken.
Thursday night everyone hung out until the wee hours of the night after practice (not routine). I love it when that happens! I think that's more important than getting the right breaks or guitar riffs in. We're really starting to connect and that's invaluable. I LOVE OUR NEW CHURCH!!!

I'm a newbie...
Hey everyone,
I'm new to the whole blogging thing. My good friend Alex Mclean has convinced me that any and every modern worship leader is doing it. So of course, I have to do it. You can check out his super cool blog at http://www.betterthanblank.org/
